Frequently Asked Questions

Does this replace Common App?

No. You still submit through Common App, the UC application, or each college's portal. Waypoint helps you organize the work around those systems.

How does the AI counselor work?

It uses the profile, college list, tasks, and essays you keep in Waypoint to give more relevant answers. Treat it as a planning and revision aid, not a replacement for a school counselor or official college source.

Is my data secure?

Your account data is protected with authenticated, per-user access controls. We do not sell student information. See the privacy policy for details.

Can I use this for free?

Yes! Every new account comes with a 7-day full-access free trial. You'll get to use the AI counselor, essay workspace, and document vault for free. After 7 days, you can upgrade to Pro to keep your access.

Is this suitable for parents?

Absolutely. Many parents use Waypoint to stay in sync with their child's progress, manage deadlines together, and get expert AI counseling to support their child's journey. It provides peace of mind through a clear, shared roadmap.

Can I manage multiple students?

Currently, each account is for one student's application journey. However, parents can share login details with their student to collaborate in real-time on essays and tasks.
